Next time you go to the gym, do me a favor and take a good look around. Do you see throngs of people elbowing each other to grab a machine, or is there an abundance of unused equipment? My guess is you’ll see more machines than equipment. Why? Because it’s spring, a time when flowers bloom and New Year’s resolutions die!
You see, lots of people start off the New Year with every intention to lose weight, or get healthy, so they flock to the gym. However, it doesn’t take long for them to either realize they may have set the bar too high or become frustrated with their results and give up. They lose their motivation, and while that may make regular gym-goers happy, it’s a shame to see so many well-meaning people give up so readily on getting fitter. Bottom line? It’s hard to hit the gym and stay motivated.
But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are so many reasons to start a fitness routine and stick with it; you just need to have the right frame of mind. There’s inspiration everywhere, 365-days a year, not just January, and I’ll help you find it!
