The mark of the times is for cell phone companies to expand outward to smart watches. What we’ve seen is that most fall short of what we really want- a stylish, fully-functional watch that helps connect us to our smart-devices that look great and provide amazing features. What we’ve seen this year at the Mobile World Conventions is pretty impressive with the Urbane LTE- and it definitely looks great.

In a world of boxy, narrow-sided smart watches, it’ll be interesting to see where this step toward jewelry takes smart watch developers. What we really like about the Urbane LTE is that it looks amazing, and we’ve been told that it operates on 4G connectivity.

Classic, “Rustic” Style
We really like that this product “ages” relatively new devices. It looks like a smart watch, but even then it looks classier, it looks more expensive, and it’s completely wearable. The polished gold and silver frame is worlds better than the old painted metal frames of old, and nothing is etched in the surface to make it look childish or crude. It’s rustic, but not bulky, and the lack of added space definitely makes it feel more elegant on your wrist, not over-sized and bulky, forcing too much on your wrist at once.
Don’t think that just because it’s “rustic” that it doesn’t have all the features we know you’re looking for. It’s got an amazing P-OLED display screen that every other smart watch has these days, that looks perfect even in bright sunlight. You don’t have to worry about visibility, because the color display is bright and vibrant- we even like that you can set it yourself when you don’t need as much light- which is nice when you don’t spend all of your time in the same environment.
All the Features You Can Imagine- and Many You Can’t
LG has come a long way in a very short amount of time. It imitates other smart watches in that it provides a lot of excellent services, but that’s where the comparisons end. The rear of the watch is completely re-vamped to match the model, with biometric sensors and charging pins built in to the shiny watch back that you’re used to. You can change watch bands, if you’d prefer a leather strap, so you’ve always got comfort, like many other smart watch designers (like the Moto 360 or ZenWatch).
The LG Urbane LTE runs on Android Wear 5.0.2, so if you had previous models of this watch, you’ve seen the hardware. It runs impeccably smooth on circular watches, especially with the hardware that backs up the Urbane- a Snapdragon 400 dual core processor with 512 MB of RAM and a powerful and long lasting 410 mAh battery to give you at least a full day of power on a single charge- maybe two, if you use it lightly.
Completely Touch Screen, With a Myriad of Amazing Features
A lot of other watches in the market just tell time, track your steps, or receive your messages- but not the Urbane LTE. It’s unique in that it allows you to do everything your phone can do from your watch. You can make calls, write new messages, access your LG health, your music, even toggle cycling, Facebook, calling- anything, all at the touch of a button. It’s really got all the features you need to function as a standalone device rather than simply as an accessory, so you’re getting more, while shedding the bulk.
The Urbane LTE is miles ahead of the regular Urbane– with more power and more keys, you’ll have more control over your display. It works by itself and still connects to phones, while incorporating sensors to monitor your health like other dedicated health watches. If you weren’t in the market for a smart watch before, you’ll definitely be interested in the Urbane LTE.
Invest in a Smart Watch that Works for You
Don’t purchase a smart watch until you consider the Urbane LTE. While it’s still being tested and modified, it’s an amazing step in the smart watch community. It’s got cellular connection without your phone, so it operates all by itself. Packed with power and fully functional with a wide variety of easy to use apps that you’re already using, it gives you the versatility you need to match a busy lifestyle. Look into the LG Watch Urbane LTE Hands On for an amazing smart watch experience!
