After months of speculation and, in some cases, years of wishing, Fitbit’s first smartwatch has been unveiled.
The Fitbit Ionic is available NOW at major retailers.
The Ionic addresses several of the missing features on some of the other Fitbit devices — namely the “smart fitness watch” Blaze — such as water resistance, contactless payments, and music storage. The Ionic is primed to take on rival Apple’s smartwatch, even with the upcoming release of the Series 3.
The Ionic has a ton of excellent features and will include lots of new stuff that seems to come thanks to Fitbit’s acquisition of Pebble and Vector. It comes in three color options: Blue-gray and white, charcoal/smoke gray, or slate blue/burnt orange.
Fitbit’s new smartwatch is priced at less than the new Apple watch, and can be ordered now.
